Brando's journey began in the United States Air Force, where he served in the Security Forces for seven and a half years. His military service included critical missions in Panama, Saudi Arabia, and the Republic of Korea, providing him with invaluable strategic and tactical expertise. Transitioning to law enforcement, Brando dedicated 22 years to the BART Police Department, rising to the rank of Police Sergeant. He trained officers, managed tactical operations, and conducted crime analysis, demonstrating his ability to handle complex issues and make critical decisions.

Brando's commitment to American Canyon extends beyond his professional roles. As Chair of the City of American Canyon’s Planning Commission, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the city's future. His leadership in various community organizations, such as the Naval Lodge Springbrook Masonic Temple Board Association and the Filipino Americans of American Canyon Organization, showcases his dedication to fostering collaboration and driving positive change.
